Rosanna Davison has revealed that she cut the cord at the birth of her baby girl.
Rosanna and husband Wes Quirke welcomed their first child on November 21st 2019 via surrogate.
The couple named their daughter Sophia Rose.
Rosanna explained that she cut the umbilical cord during her surrogate’s delivery, telling Evoke.ie:
“We watched her being born and I cut her cord.”
“Thursday was the most emotional, overwhelming day of my life. It was so special to be there for her delivery.”
Rosanna took to Instagram on Thursday to announce the birth of her baby girl.
“And the dreams that you dare to dream really do come true 
.”
“Today, November 21st 2019 at 11.57am, our beautiful and healthy daughter Sophia Rose Quirke arrived safely into the world weighing 6lbs8oz… she’s absolutely perfect 
.”
Rosanna also revealed that she is feeling “exhausted” since the birth of her daughter.
However, she said she is “loving every minute” in a sweet Instagram story.
Rosanna, Wes and Sophia are expected to remain abroad for a number of weeks before returning home to Ireland.
