Rosanna Davison has revealed how her dad was forced to KISS a man – who was trying to grope her.
The former Miss World has admitted that her famous dad, Chris de Burgh, once kissed an older man, to stop him from kissing his daughter.
“I certainly have been in a busy bar and someone feels they have the right to touch you inappropriately,” Rosanna told The Sun, amid women all over the world revealing their sexual harassment stories.
“I’d say myself and the majority of my friends have experienced that. I think plenty of women have experienced that. So this is not just in Hollywood.
“This is a global problem and the nature of how men treat women needs to be addressed long after the Weinstein episode dies down.”
“My father has always been a great supporter of women. I remember once we were out together in a busy bar in Dalkey.
“I might have been only 17 when a much older man grabbed me by the face and kissed me.
“It wasn’t on the lips but it was on my face, and it was totally unasked-for and inappropriate.
“I remember my dad reacting by grabbing this man by the face and kissing him on the lips. Dad told him, ‘Don’t kiss my daughter, or I will kiss you’.
“Looking back, it was a great move by Dad, protecting me from this man and telling him not to go near me. It’s great to have a dad like that.”
