Now that he’s won three majors, Rory McIlroy definitely deserves a drink, and he decided to booze out of his winning cup.
The golfer, who was celebrating winning the British Open with friends and family, revealed he drank Jagermeister and champagne out of the Claret Jug.
“I wasn’t the first one to drink out of it. They started without me. They thought it would be appropriate to put some Jagermeister in at the start.
“That’s why that went in. I definitely had a few sips out of it throughout the night. But last night was lots of champagne,” he said.
“There was good expensive stuff in it and I think that’s how it will stay from now on.”
Rory made the comments while speaking to Sean O’Rourke on RTE Radio 1.

“It’s a very bad tasting alcoholic drink, it’s not that nice, but it seems quite popular these days,” he explained.
Rory partied the night away with close friends and family in Belfast club Ollie’s, but rumored new love interest Nadia Forde nowhere to be seen.
Meanwhile Rory opened up about his tough year and a half, which included his split from ex-fiance Caroline Wozniacki.

“It’s been the biggest 18 months of my life, there is a lot that went on – on and off the golf course.
“With equipment change and things in my personal life and management changes, there’s been a lot of stuff in my life going on.
“It’s been a great learning process. I’m definitely more mature, not as naive, I’ve learnt a lot of lessons in that time.
“Hopefully it’s just made me a stronger person.”
