Nikki Hayes has revealed that she has split from husband Frank Black.
The former 2FM presenter tied the knot back in 2015, and the couple welcomed daughter Farah together in 2013.
Speaking with Pat Kenny on his Newstalk show about her debut book Crying Into The Saucepan, Nikki revealed she and Frank had broken up earlier this year, privately.
“One of my biggest supports has been my husband and unfortunately due to Borderline Personality Disorder and the way it can make you act out, unfortunately we separated earlier on this year.
“He’s a great dad to Farrah but I’m still very much in love with him so it’s extremely tough but I understand because it’s quite trying to live with someone with Borderline Personality Disorder.”
Pat asked her if Frank was unsure “who he’s coming home to on any given day”.
“It’s quite unpredictable where everything can be absolutely fine. As he used to say to me, it’s like life is great and then bang, I’m in hospital and suddenly there’s no leeway, there’s nothing that leads him to see that something’s wrong.
“Then all of a sudden the world comes crumbling down. It’s extremely hard to live with.”
In a personal statement on her Twitter page, Nikki went on to say she had kept the split private, but would be addressing their break up on RTE’s Today show.
