THESE presenters could be set to host Ireland’s Got Talent

Denise Van Outen, Laura Whitmore and Baz Ashmawy are reportedly in the running to host Ireland’s Got Talent.

The TV3 show, which will begin filming this year, is set to be the main attraction at the station’s autumn schedule launch next week – however, bosses are yet to make a decision regarding the show’s host.

According to the Irish Sun, former Big Breakfast presenter Denise was spotted in Dublin yesterday, prompting speculation that she met with TV3 bosses.

However, sources say Laura and Baz are also in the running for the top job – and a decision will be made in the next 48 hours.

“It’s all at a delicate stage at the moment, various options are being looked at,” an insider said.

Sources have said that Denise was actually in Dublin yesterday for a meeting with tanning brand Bellamianta at the Westbury Hotel, but she later met with X Factor judge and music manager Louis Walsh – who has been linked to Ireland’s Got Talent in the past.

Speaking in 2015, Louis said, “I said I’d do Ireland’s Got Talent next year and I met RTE about it.”

At the time, the show failed to materialise on either RTE or TV3, but Britain’s Got Talent boss Simon Cowell vowed that an Irish version would happen eventually.

Sources also confirmed to the Irish Sun that the Grand Final of Ireland’s Got Talent will take place on St Patrick’s weekend, and auditions will kick off this autumn, and the series will air in January.
