Irish presenter Laura Whitmore has revealed she is leaving MTV after seven years.
The Bray TV host began her career at the station after winning Pick Me MTV back in 2008.
In a statement on Instagram Laura announced the shocking news.
“After 7 years, I have decided it’s time to hang up my MTV news hat,’ she wrote.
“It was my very first telly job and I can’t thank MTV enough for taking the chance on me. However due to some upcoming projects I can no longer commit,” she added.
Laura has been working more and more for ITV2, hosting the I’m A Celebrity spin off show as well as hosting the Brits.
The blonde added that her final news cast will take place next week.
Meanwhile sources tell Goss.ie that Laura will be given a huge “going away bash”.

“Next week there is going to be a huge party for her, she is really close to the news team and everyone is really going to miss her.
“It’s going to be a crazy night, but she deserves an almighty send off,” the insider revealed.
