The model mum got candid in a new interview

Pippa O’Connor has revealed that a major beauty brand dropped her after she fell pregnant with her first child, Ollie.

The model mum and her partner Brian Ormond welcomed their first son in April 2013, and at the time – Pippa still relied on getting booked for modelling jobs.

However, the mum-of-two has revealed that one brand wasn’t too pleased by her announcement – and it cost her a massive contract.

Speaking on The Six O’Clock Show, Pippa confessed, “Six years ago, I was self-employed but I still relied on people to book me for jobs.”

“Everything was different. Some months I would have money and other months, you have nothing.

“I thought, ‘This is kind of scary now.’ I was pregnant and people would say things like, ‘What are you going to do now?’ And I said, ‘Uhm, work!’

“I remember getting a big contract, for me at the time, for a beauty campaign and when they found out I was pregnant they basically dropped me,” she admitted.

“They did [the campaign] but just without me. That was a real kick in the teeth, that set me back for a good while.”

While Pippa was upset at the time, it was really a blessing in disguise as it pushed her to start her own blog (pippa.ie), and launch her own fashion brand, POCO.
