Pippa O’Connor has spoken out about the current controversy surrounding Irish bloggers and influencers.

Over the past few months, a number of Instagram accounts have been set up in a bid to ‘call out’ bloggers and social media stars alike for not being honest with their followers.

Pippa, who has built an empire off the back of her popular blog Pippa.ie, has now revealed what it’s like to be an ‘influencer’ in the industry right now.

During an interview on The Tracy Clifford Show on RTÉ 2fm, Tracy asked Pippa how she was finding being a ‘social influencer’ since the rise of the “blogger caller outers”.

Pippa replied, “To be very honest, I just do my thing. I’m in the industry so long now that I just, I don’t take myself too seriously.”

“I focus on my business, my family, and I don’t really overthink things and think, ‘Oh, what’s someone going to think about me?’

“You know, I think you just have to do your own thing and be honest and authentic and not get so bogged down by everything that’s going on around you,” she added.
