Universal Pictures Ireland rolled out the red carpet for the star-studded Irish premiere of the Downton Abbey movie on Wednesday.
Hosted at The Stella Theatre, Rathmines, ahead of its release in cinemas across Ireland on Friday, 13th September, the sought after ticketed event saw some of Ireland’s leading personalities in attendance.
Guests on the night included actresses Aoibhinn McGinnity, Aoibhinn Garrihy, Charleigh Bailey, and Rachel Pilkington; designers, Helen Steele, , Louise Kennedy, Helen Cody and Natalie B Coleman; and TV and radio presenters Marty Whelan, Alan Hughes, Pat Kenny and Marian Finucane.
Guests were encouraged to channel their inner Lady Mary and Mr Carson and embrace the fashion and style from the Downton Abbey era, which was enthusiastically welcomed by most guests, with feather boas, jewelled headbands, and bow ties making a strong statement on the night.
As guests arrived, they were welcomed with a glass of prosecco before taking their seats to watch the beloved Crawley family prepare for the most important moment of their lives, a royal visit.
Once the two hour movie was complete, guests made their way upstairs to the cocktail bar at The Stella Theatre to enjoy a range of Downton Abbey themed cocktails and canapés.
