He may not be returning to the X Factor panel, but Louis Walsh is still on the lookout for the next big talent.

The music mogul was spotted supporting new Irish band State Lights on Sunday night, at the first Variety night in Dublin venue Number Twenty Two.

Louis was seen enjoying the band’s gig, which was hosted by Swing Cat’s frontman Luke Thomas.

Music insiders told Goss.ie that State Lights are already being tipped as the next big thing.

“They’re song Freedom has already been a hit and their next tracks are just as good. These guys are going to explode on to the market,” an insider revealed.

“Louis Walsh has been supporting them and really believes in them. They’re going to be huge,” the source added.
