Viewers were left in stitches last night, as RTÉ News aired a spooky new outro inspired by Halloween.
At the end of the Six One news, presenters Eileen Whelan and Ray Kennedy signed off by wishing everyone a Happy Halloween – before disappearing from their chairs.
Three bats then flew towards the camera as wolves howled over the programmes iconic outro music.
Viewers quickly took to Twitter to poke fun at the gag, and joked that it was well worth their license fee.
