Pat Kenny is reportedly being paid €500,000 as part of a three-year deal with TV3.
It was revealed yesterday that the veteran broadcaster was making the move to the station, and now his reported salary has been revealed.
Pat will host a new current affairs show alongside Colette Fitzpatrick – and will air live on Wednesdays at 9.30pm.
According to the Irish Sun, a TV3 source said Pat “is worth every cent”.
“There just isn’t anyone like him on Irish TV, in fact we are thrilled to have him onboard,” the source added.

The show will provide in-depth analysis, featuring one-on-one interviews with government ministers, leading politicians and big newsmakers of the day.
The 63-year-old has admitted that he’s happy with the move.
“I’ve done ‘Prime Time’ on a Tuesday and Thursday, and I’ve done ‘Frontline’ on a Monday but I haven’t done current affairs on a Wednesday.
“When they came to me with the offer, it seemed to me a good place to be.
“On a Wednesday, the political stories of the week will have begun to evolve so I think it’s a good slot, that’s why I jumped on it,” he told the Irish Independent.
