The Oscars made a huge mistake when they listed their nominees – and Irish actress Ruth Negga was affected.
The nominees for the 89th Academy Awards came out today with the Limerick native one of the two Irish stars nominated.
However, for a few moments they forgot to include her in the list on their website despite saying her name in the live announcement.
Instead they listed Amy Adams for her role in Arrival.
About 10 mins after noms, Oscars website has Amy Adams in list of best actress nominees; not Ruth Negga. Appears fixed. pic.twitter.com/Czwj2MPiKd

One keen Twitter user spotted the mistake and posted a screenshot of the original text online.
However, this wasn’t their online mistake regarding nominations.
Another eagle-eyed Twitter user spotted that they listed an extra actor in the Best Actor category – Tom Hanks for his role in Sully.
Hey @TheAcademy: Your website shows different nominees for Actress than the livestream, plus a 6th Best Actor and only 4 Supporting Actors. pic.twitter.com/DreO2C2Z4y

The list also only listed four supporting actors, forgetting Lucas Hedges for his role in Manchester By The Sea.
