Westlife’s five night run at Belfast’s SSE Arena came to an end this week, and band member Nicky Byrne was swarmed by fans as he tried to leave the venue.
Taking to Instagram, the 40-year-old shared a video of him sitting in a car, surrounded by screaming fans.
He captioned the post: Got a bit little bit stuck leaving @thessearenabelfast after the show last night Belfast!”
The singer then thanked police who were “on hand to help”.
The attention from fans is a welcome reminder that Westlife are still as popular as they were at the height of their success.
The bandmates continued their Twenty Tour this week, performing in Glasgow last night, before moving on to Manchester on Thursday.
The lads will finish off their European leg of the tour by playing two mammoth gigs at Dublin’s Croke Park on July 5th & 6th.
On episode 22 of the Gosscast, Goss.ie founder Ali Ryan chats to Crave Closet founder Laura McLoughlin about all things business.
The Gosscast is sponsored by leading Irish fashion outlet cravecloset.com, which is now also available in select Topshop stores.
