Rory Cowan’s replacement was finally revealed in the Mrs Brown’s Boys Christmas special last night, and fans are not too happy about it.
Rory Cowan quit the show earlier this year after 26 years, and his replacement Damien McKiernan was finally revealed last night.
In the special, Agnes Brown’s son Rory underwent extensive plastic surgery, explaining why he looked like a completely different person.
Unfortunately, fans of the show weren’t too pleased by the change, and took to Twitter to express their disappointment.
That actor has ruined that role

Sorry I love Mrs browns boys but I didn’t find the new Rory very interesting at all like the old character could hardly hear him and he sounds so different xx

Although there were a lot of negative comments about the ‘new Rory’, some people insisted that fans should give him a chance:
Why are people being so negative? If you’ve got nothing nice to say then just don’t say anything. I thought the episode was brilliant and love the Rory story, it was portrayed brilliantly. Tonight’s one had to be handled like that. Wait and see, new Rory will be great

LMAO throughout the show. The new Rory just needs some time to get into the role. Give him a chance.

Geez so much hate. Original Rory left on his own choice, he’s one of a kind. New guy had big shoes to fill. Likely nervous as hell. Loved the show! Not the same but that took balls to step into such an established family environment. Hopefully he will relax with time/experience.
