Micheal Fassbender was spotted enjoying a day of racing at Killarney’s Rally of The Lakes.
The actor, who has starred in huge films such as 300 and Inglorious Bastards, is an avid race car driver, and took part in the legendary motorsport event.
He was papped taking a break from the festivities in a pair of white racing overalls.
The actor was raised in Killarney, and took the time to visit his old school while he was in the area.
He gave a talk to the students in St Brendan’s College, where he was previously enrolled, and told them:
“I got a great base here. I knew I wasn’t going to go on to university but what I learned here certainly stood to me in good stead.”
“Obviously if you find something that you love doing that’s the jackpot,” he said to the current students.
“The one thing I’ve learned in life is if you’re going to do something, do it properly and really have pride in what you’re doing.”
His wife Alicia Vikander did not join him for the trip – however the couple visited Dublin last month, where they enjoyed a dinner date at one of the city’s best under-the-radar eateries.
