Michael Fassbender: ‘I fell in love with Alicia Vikander while rounding up goats and drinking whiskey’

Hollywood’s new ‘it’ couple Alicia Vikander and Michael Fassbender have opened up about falling for each other.

After admitting the pair first got together on the dance floor, the uber private couple have revealed how they fell in love.

The couple have been dating for two years now, and met during filming of The Light Between Oceans on New Zealand’s South Island.

“The chemistry was immediate, the spark, the intensity,” Michael gushed to The Sun.

“I said early on, ‘This girl frightens me’. She’s so fierce and brave … it kind of bowled me over.

“We really relied on, pushed and supported one another, then we had fun as well. We would have a laugh,” he admitted.

Alicia added that the pair enjoyed barbecues, fishing and surfing in the early stages of their relationship.

“We had BB guns, we played a lot of music. We surfed, fished, had barbecues, film nights.”

“Crayfish-catching,” Michael added.

“And there was a comedy element to this — me trying to round up a goat, which I got frustrated about.

“It looked a little odd I suppose, me trying to take a goat from behind.”

Alicia added: “That was my highlight for sure. We also had our hipflasks with hot whisky. Pretty simple stuff, because we were away from everything.”
