Louis Walsh has revealed that he thinks new X Factor judge Mel B will keep him on his toes on the show.
After months of speculation Mel B has been confirmed as the final X Factor judge, and will be seen on TV3 this summer.
The former Spice Girl has reportedly signed a “€1.2 million deal” this week to join Simon, Cheryl and Louis.
And Louis said: “It should be a fun year this year with both Simon and Cheryl returning and I think Mel will keep us all on our toes, she is Scary Spice after all.”
Back: Mel B is on the X Factor panel
Mel B, 39, has previously appeared as a guest judge on the panel, as well as on both the American and Australian versions of the show.
Apparently the deal was agreed in Sydney, where the singer is currently a judge on talent show The Voice Kids.
She said: “I’m so excited to be joining The X Factor – I loved being a guest judge back in 2012. I’ve always thought honesty is the best policy when being a judge and that’s what I’m going to bring more of this year.
Other judges: Cheryl Cole and Simon Cowell will be on panel too
“Whether it’s spotting an incredible singer, giving someone a reality check or debating with Simon over who’s got it wrong! Now I can’t wait to get started and find some amazing talent.”
Our very own Louis Walsh officially signed his X Factor contract two weeks ago and at the time said he would “love” Mel to be the final judge.
