Maura Higgins’ mum Sharon is a star in her own right, after she supported her daughter throughout her time on hit TV show Love Island.
Now, the Longford native is making her first foray into TV by starring on a new TV show called Agony OAPs, where she gives advice.
Sharon opened up to 2FM’s Jennifer Zamparelli this morning about Maura’s reality TV destiny.
“Did you know Maura was destined for stardom?” Jen asked.
“Absolutely,” Sharon replied.
“I think you just have to support them no matter what they want to do. I would not say ‘oh I want you to be a doctor’ because that’s what you want, not what they want.”
“You have to see what they want.”

Touching on their relationship, Sharon explained that she and her daughter’s birthdays are a mere two days apart, making them both Sagittarius.
“They can be brutally honest to a fault,” the stars mum said of the horoscope sign.
Of Maura’s fanny flutter slogan, her mum said she was shocked but amused by the catchphrase.
“I went ‘oh my God, she’s after saying that on national TV,'” she laughed.
