Martin McDonagh has revealed his plans to reunite In Bruges stars Colin Farrell and Brendan Gleeson in a new movie.

Brendan and Colin have long been remembered for their roles as two hitmen in the 2008 film, which Martin wrote and directed.

And now, Martin has revealed that he’s working on another film to reunite the actors, but said that this time it will be set in Ireland.

“I’ve been working on one over the past couple of years, something to try and get – I shouldn’t really say it because it will go crazy on the internet – something to get Colin and Brendan back together,” he told Maura and Daithí on RTÉ’s Today show.

“It’s not quite right and I don’t want to follow up In Bruges with something that is not as good because we were all happy with that. But I’m going to keep working on it and I think it will be west of Ireland set and not set in the present day.”

The London-Irish writer, who won a Golden Globe over the weekend for his film Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri.

Martin has also been strongly tipped for an Oscar nomination, both as a screenwriter and director.

He previously won an Oscar back in 2006 for his short film, Six Shooter, which also starred Brendan Gleeson.
