Mariah Carey has taken to Twitter to respond to the Irish ladies’ hockey team singing one of her most famous songs.
The athletes won silver in the World Cup over the weekend, and had an exciting homecoming in Dublin on Monday.
During the celebrations, the team started to sing Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas’, as they had described the night before the match as “being like Christmas Eve”.

A video of the celebrations was tweeted by TV3’s Laura Hogan, before catching the eye of the official ‘Sony Ireland’ account.
The music company caught the attention of Mariah on Twitter, and the singer responded to the festive performance.
