Most of the country were glued to their televisions last night to watch the return of Love/Hate, but star of the show Laurence Kinlan had other plans.
The actor who plays Elmo in the RTE drama, was busy hanging out with Ed Sheeran, after the singer gave him free tickets to his gig.
“Missing Love/Hate tonight to see this man @edsheeran legend,” Laurence wrote on Twitter.
Laurence decided to head to the concert in the Three Arena, after Ed admitted he is a massive fan of the award winning series.

The Give Me Love singer gushed to Ryan Tubridy on the Late Late Show about the series, and even got a box set signed by all the stars.
Ed then said live on TV that if any of the actors wanted to come to his concerts they could – and Laurence seems to have taken up on the offer.
The actor shared a picture of the pair together in Ed’s dressing room, moments before taking to the stage.
