Viewers have come out in support of Love Island star Maura Higgins – after islander Tom made a chauvinistic comment about her.
The Longford girl was delighted to finally get a kiss from Tom earlier in the day – but things turned sour once she was allowed to bring a boy to the ‘Hideaway’ for a night away from the villa.
While Maura was getting ready with the girls, Tom was outside with the boys, who had handed him a condom.
As Maura came outside to ask Tom to meet her in the Hideout, she over heard Tom boasting to the boys, and saying: “let’s see if she’s all mouth”, questioning whether the ring girl would sleep with him.
Maura quickly turned on the island newbie and told him to “go f***” himself and stormed back into the girls bedroom.
And Twitter is exploding with support, take a look:

Maura can act how she wants when SHE wants. Tom had no right to speak down about her like that. He basically called her a slag infront of all of the guys knowing she was there. That’s not on ???? I’m pleased she didn’t play up to it and told him where to go ➡️ #Loveisland
