Louis Walsh breaks his silence on rumoured new X Factor format

The former judge has spoken out about the rumoured change up

Louis Walsh has spoken out about the future of The X Factor, amid reports that Simon Cowell is axing the show’s original format for a new celebrity version.

The music manager announced his departure from the show last year, after acting as a judge on the panel for 13 years.

Speaking to Alan Murphy on Galway Bay FM, Louis said, “I think it’s probably the way to go.”

“They should rest the other format for a year or two because there’s so many singing shows now. And then when it comes back, everyone will be waiting for it.”

When asked if he’d return as a judge for the new format, Louis remained coy as he insisted that he’s happy with his life right now.

“I did The X Factor for so long. I want to manage people now and do one or two shows in Ireland. But listen, never say never,” he said.

You can hear the full interview with Louis Walsh tomorrow on The A-List on Galway Bay FM.
