Limerick Rose Sinead Flanagan has been crowned the 2019 Rose of Tralee

The winner of the Rose of Tralee is Limerick Rose Sinead Flanagan.

The 27-year-old Adare native beat dozens of hopefuls in the Dome in Tralee tonight, and will now represent the title for the next 12 months.

The Junior Doctor captured the audience’s attention with her stunning green dress on the final night of the festival.

Sinéad qualified as a physiotherapist at the University of Limerick and then spent another four years qualifying to be a doctor in University College Cork.

Tonight, TV viewers and the Dome audience saw the Roses from Antrim, Chicago, Clare, Donegal, Galway, Kerry, Limerick, London, New Zealand, Ohio, Ottawa, San Francisco, South Carolina and Wexford.

On Monday night, Roses representing Abu Dhabi, Arizona, Boston & New England, Cork, Dublin, Germany, Kildare, Kilkenny, Laois, Longford, Mayo, Meath, Melbourne, New York, South Australia, Sydney, Washington DC and Western Canada took to the stage.

Each of the contestants were interviewed by Daithi O’Se, and displayed their various talents to the audience as well as viewers at home.

The 2018 Rose Kirsten Mate Maher handed over the title to the brand new Rose of Tralee.

This year, the contest celebrated it’s 60th year.
