Laura Whitmore has commented on those Strictly romance rumours, and admitted that “it’s not fair”.
The presenter was announced as one of the first contestants on this year’s BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing, and was paired with dancing hunk Giovanni Pernice.
“It’s not fair,” she said about how tabloids viewed her relationship with the dancer.

The Bray native shut down suggestions that the show’s producers paired her with the Italian stallion to engineer the whole scenario.
“You don’t get to choose your partner; that’s not the dancer’s decision,” she told Woman’s Health magazine.
“You can’t put two people together and say: ‘That’s gonna be a thing.’ There has to be an attraction there.”

Laura also admitted that she’s a bit of a control freak – a trait she received from her mother she said.
“I’ve always been strong-willed and I think that comes from her.
“She’s a very strong, independent lady,” she added.
