Laura Whitmore relieved as upksirting is ‘finally’ set to be made illegal

Laura Whitmore is relieved as upskirting has finally set to be made illegal later today.

She has actively been campaigning to have the practice of taking photos up women’s skirts, without their consent made, illegal.

She tweeted, “After a few obstacles, a new bill to make ‘upskirting’ a criminal offence is set to be introduced later today.. finally.”

Last week Sir Christopher Chope, a conservative MP, opposed the bill which had taken a year to get to its second reading in the House of Commons

Gina Martin, a 26-year old victim of upskirting, has been leading the campaign which gained a lot of support from celebrities who are regular targets of upskirting.

Laura appeared on Lorraine and said, “You can wear a skirt any size you want – that is not an invitation to have a picture taken up your skirt.”

The TV presenter has been hitting back at people on social media who disagree with women’s rights not to be violated remarking, “Oh f**k off” when one user tweeted, “The women are asking for it dressing like that.”
