Laura Whitmore has revealed that she was on receiving end of nasty comments from girls when she was in school.
The Bray native may be one of the most recognisable presenters on TV today – but she wasn’t always so confident.
“When I was growing up it was before Facebook and all that took off, so it would have been a different type of bullying I would have experienced,” she said.

“I think every girl did – there’s always someone who makes nasty comments about you.”
Even as an adult, the ITV presenter still sometimes gets hateful messages from trolls.
“You’ve got Twitter trolls who can say anything under the sun and you can see it happening to lots of people and you have to realise that these are people hiding,” she said.
Haters: Laura doesn’t let the naysayers get to her
“It’s very easy to say things when you’re hiding behind a screen.”
However, the MTV star doesn’t let any of the negative comments she gets effect her anymore.
“You just kind of get on with it, I’m at an age where I’m comfortable with myself.”
Future: Laura is open to creating her own clothing line | VIPIRELAND.COM
Meanwhile, with her jewellery line with Daisy London due for release soon, Laura hasn’t ruled out the possibility of a clothing line in the future.
“It’s always about the right time, and at the end of the day my job is presenting and broadcasting at the moment but it’s really fun to be creative.”
“If a label approaches me or if I set up my own label, who knows?” she told The Herald.
