Laura Whitmore has admitted that she is “furious” at still being linked to One Direction star Niall Horan.
The MTV presenter said it makes her “feel a bit shit” that after two years people still think she dated the Mullingar singer because they are friends.
And Laura, 29, revealed it makes it near impossible even to go for a pint with a male friend – or else she’s linked romantically to them.
“It’s really embarrassing because I have friends who are boys and it’s the same thing that happened with Niall Horan,” she told Fabulous magazine.

“I’m furious that two years later journalists are still asking me. I did an interview for Eurovision and the headline was about One Direction.
“It just makes me feel a bit s**t. I’m a girl who does more than wear clothes and hang out with boys who are famous. I present and I work really hard at my job. It’s a little bit insulting.”
Now Laura revealed she is “doing what girls do” and dating – but has no plans to settle down after only having been “drunkenly” proposed to before.

“I want to live life first before I completely settle down. I’ve still so much to do and when opportunities come, I have to take them,” she said. “In the last few months, I’ve been flying a lot. It’s quite tiring and draining.”
However Laura is staying coy on whether anything ever happened with Scottish musician Paolo Nutini.
She said: “I’m not talking about anything. It’s so personal and feels so intrusive. When it comes to boys, I’ll talk to my friends until the cows come home, but that’s it.”
