Laura Whitmore has revealed that she was called a “cold fish” for rejecting someone in the entertainment industry when they came onto her.

The Irish TV presenter has opened up about her experiences in the industry, in wake of allegations made against disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein, and actor Kevin Spacey.

The Bray native shared an old article from 1945 on Twitter, in which legendary Irish actress Maureen O’Hara talked about being sexually harassed by directors and producers in Hollywood when she was just 25.

Posting a picture of the article, which has gone viral on Twitter, Laura wrote, “This was an article in 1945. It’s 2017 and the situation is similar.”

“I was referred to as a ‘cold fish’ because I refused someone’s advances,” she revealed.

Finally, Laura added, “Let’s support and be kind to each other. We are all facing struggles that no one else may know.”

The news comes after it was previously reported that Laura was made feel “incredibly uncomfortable” during meetings with disgraced Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
