Rob Heffernan and his partner Emily Barker had to ‘exit stage left’ when they were eliminated in the dreaded dance off on Dancing With The Stars tonight.
The four remaining celebrities Anna Daly, Deirdre O’Kane, Erin McGregor, and Jake Carter will now go on to the semi-finals of the competition.
Speaking about his elimination Rob said, “I’m sad it’s all over. But it’s been the best experience of my life. From the first day, everybody has been absolutely brilliant. And being paired with Emily was amazing. It’s been incredible and I have so many great memories.”
The pro dancers opened Broadway week with a jazz routine to the aptly titled On Broadway from hit musical All That Jazz.
The scores on the night were as follows:
Rob Heffernan and Emily Barker – 25 points.
Erin McGregor and Ryan McShane – 27 points.
Anna Geary and Kai Widdrington – 29 points.
Deirdre O’Kane and John Nolan – 22 points.
Jake Carter and Karen Byrne – 30 points.
The celebrity couples also faced an additional challenge tonight when they had to participate in the Swing-a-thon.
During the Swing-a-thon each of the couples had to perform a second dance simultaneously and one by one, depending on their performance, they were asked to leave the floor at the judge’s request.
Jake and Karen were the last couple to remain on the dancefloor and received the maximum score of 5 points. Scores for the individual couples were added to their overall individual scores.
