Katie Taylor has beaten Finland’s Eva Wahlstrom in a historic fight.
The Irish fighter entered the ring in the infamous Madison Square Garden for the first time – and left victorious.
It’s been a hugely successful year for Katie, who just recently released her self-titled documentary movie into cinemas.
The Bray boxer also retained her world title status back in October.

Earlier in the day Katie had been gifted with a special branded vest, to mark her first fight at the Garden.
The boxer took the fight to the full ten rounds, as she dominated her opponent throughout it.
“I said from the beginning this is going to be a great showcase for the sport, it was one of the best fights in women’s boxing, it was fantastic,” the 32-year-old said after her win.
