Kathryn Thomas has revealed she didn’t speak to ANY of her guests on her wedding day.
The RTE presenter revealed that she didn’t get a chance to chat with her guests on the day of her nuptials in Castledermot’s Kilkea Castle.
“For anyone getting married, I will say to enjoy the moment because I didn’t talk to anybody, right? At my wedding, I didn’t really talk to any of my guests which has sort of been playing on my mind,” she revealed.
“But I had a conversation with somebody…who said they spent their whole wedding talking to the aunts and uncles until 3 o’clock in the morning and they didn’t enjoy the wedding. So get out there, have the craic and be in the moment.”
Kathryn stunned in a custom made Umit Kutluk dress on the day, and told Ray D’Arcy on RTE Radio 1 that she knew what she wanted for a long time.
“I had wanted something that was simple at the front,” she said.
“Anytime I am at a wedding, I love looking at the back of a bride’s dress. I had seen this photograph, maybe four or five years ago, of a couture Chanel dress and it had that big sort of oversized bow.”
“I brought designer Umit Kutluk the photograph and he said, you know I don’t think we can make that.
“It took a long time to get it right, but we got it. I loved it. I felt really comfortable and I felt really confident on the day.”
“I did feel beautiful, I actually did.”
