Johnny Ward has revealed that his father has sadly passed away.
The Dancing With The Stars contestant is in mourning after his dad died in Dublin, after being diagnosed with cancer last summer.
Johnny said his father John Ward, died in his sleep on Saturday afternoon.
The former Love/Hate star took to social media to thank his friends and family for their support and said his dad is now “pain free”.
“Thank you to everyone for their kind,supportive messages regarding my father at this very difficult time,” he wrote.
“He passed peacefully in his sleep earlier this afternoon and is now pain free.
“He really was one in a million and words will never ever describe just how much he meant to me.
“Thank you Dad for being the kindest ,most supportive, incredible father anyone could ever ask for.”
“They never die who live in the hearts they leave behind”.
