Actor Johnny Depp, Clem Burke, Nick Cave and Cerys Matthews are all set to take the stage at the National Concert hall in celebration of legendary singer Shane MacGowan’s 60th birthday.
The concert is part of the NCH Perspectives Series, to celebrate “the power and poetry of Shane’s work”.
Shane was described as “one of the most important poets of the 20th century” by Pirates of The Caribbean actor Johnny Depp.
MacGowan will headline the night himself, and its due to take place on the 15th of January and will be hosted by RTÉ broadcaster and presenter John Kelly.
Others artists in the line up include Bobby Gillespie , Glen Hansard, Camille O’Sullivan, Carl Barat of The Libertines, Lisa O’Neill, Finbar Furey, Glen Matlock of The Sex Pistols, Spider Stacy, and Jem Finer.
