Jennifer Zamparelli, Keith Walsh and Lottie Ryan bid farewell to Breakfast Republic this morning on RTÉ2FM.

Keith and Lottie recorded their final show ahead of the station’s big schedule change, and were joined by Jennifer Zamparelli just before 10am.

The trio received quite the send off, as they were gifted flowers from the 2FM team.

Jennifer said: “We’re all dressed in black because we’re in mourning for Breakfast Republic, but I just want to say – to Lottie, to Keith, to Bernard O’Shea, who’s not in at the moment, I just want to say it’s been emotional, it’s been fantastic, it’s been the best five years of my radio life.”

Lottie also joked: “I’d like to thank everyone upstairs in the office who allowed me to fall asleep on my desk on multiple mornings.”

The presenters also wished Doireann Garrihy and Eoghan McDermott luck with their new show, which will be taking over Breakfast Republic’s slot in June.

In the meantime, Emma Power will be on 2FM from 6-7am every weekday, and Aifric O’Connell and Carl Mullan will manage the show from 8-10am.

Earlier this month, 2FM announced huge changes to their line up – including the return of Jenny Greene.

Doireann Garrihy and Eoghan McDermott will present an all-new breakfast show weekdays from 6am-9am.

Moving on from Breakfast Republic, Jennifer Zamparelli will take on her own morning programme, weekdays from 9am – 12pm.

Meanwhile, Jenny Greene will take over Eoghan McDermott’s drive time slot, “with a massive mix of music, celebrity guests from the world of entertainment and sport.”

Keith Walsh will move to the weekends to host a brand new show, and Lottie Ryan will return to her original role – presenting entertainment news across the weekdays.
