Jennifer Zamparelli announced as new co-host of Dancing With The Stars

Following weeks of speculation, Jennifer Zamparelli has confirmed that she will join Nicky Byrne as co-presenter on hit series, Dancing with the Stars, when it returns to RTÉ One in the New Year.

The pair will join forces to present the third series of Dancing with the Stars, which will see 11 brand new celebrities trip the light fantastic as they dance their way into the nation’s living rooms each Sunday night to battle it out for the much coveted glitterball trophy.

No stranger to live broadcasting, this January will see Jennifer don her best sequins and sparkles as she puts her best foot forward and shimmies down the famous DWTS staircase to join Nicky in welcoming the new batch of celebrities to the show.

Speaking about the announcement Jennifer said: “I’m absolutely thrilled to be joining the Dancing with the Stars team. I was lucky enough to witness the live production first hand last year when I sat in the audience supporting Bernard O’Shea and I was genuinely so impressed by the overall scale of the show.

“I can’t wait to get my glam on and start entertaining the nation on Sunday nights and who better to do it with than the fabulous Nicky Byrne.”

John McHugh, Group Head of Entertainment, RTÉ said: “We’re delighted to confirm that Jennifer will join Dancing with the Stars in the New Year.

“Most people will know Jennifer from 2fm’s Breakfast Republic or as the formidable Bridget from Bridget and Eamonn, but we’re really looking forward to seeing Jennifer bring her much loved and unique style to the show in the New Year.”

Larry Bass, Executive Producer said: “Everyone on the production is very much looking forward to welcoming Jennifer to the Dancing With the Stars team. We’re big fans of Jennifer’s work and we can’t wait to work with her and Nicky on another exciting new series of Dancing with the Stars in January.”
