Jason Donovan ‘visited U2’s Dublin studio’ on a drug binge with Robbie Williams

Jason Donovan has told how he reportedly visited U2’s Dublin studio whilst on a drug binge with Robbie Williams.

The former Neighbours star, who has been open about his battle with drugs,  is currently in Dublin staring in Million Dollar Quartet in the Bord Gais Energy Theatre.

The Australian star was speaking on Today FM earlier today, and told an outrageous story about visiting U2’s studio in Dublin.

“I vaguely remember a plane trip coming to Ireland and Robbie Williams and Patsy Kensit were on the plane,” he said.

“It was hedonism Nineties. I think we ended up in the (U2) studios. I think so but I can’t remember much after that,” he said on The Dermot and Dave Show.

Speaking about his highly-publicised past with drugs, he said, “It is what it is. I’m at ease with that period of my life. I don’t dwell on it. I think regret is a waste of emotion.”

Jason made headlines back in 1995 when he ended up at LA’s Cedars-Sinai hospital following a cocaine overdose at Kate Moss’s 21st birthday party.

Meanwhile, the 48-year-old admitted that the birth of his daughter 16 years ago made him turn his life around.

“I was never a drinker, I didn’t drink alcohol until I was in my 30s. I was smoking other stuff. Anyone who thinks that doesn’t open the door for other stuff is slightly deluded. The good think is I don’t do it any more or dwell on it,” he said.
