Grieving Bob Geldof has said he will be having a very sad first Christmas without daughter Peaches.

The Boomtown Rats star, 63, is still heartbroken over the loss of his beloved daughter in April.

And Bob – who plans to spend Christmas Day with young grandsons Astala, two, and Phaedra, one – said there is “no end” to his pain.

He said: “It’s been a crap year. There is no end to it. It is for the rest of my life. I’ll be with the family for Christmas.

“They will make Christmas come alive again. It will be like everybody else’s Christmas but a lot less.”

The Live Aid boss told the Sunday Mirror he “goes over and over and over” whether he could have helped Peaches, 25, get off heroin before her death.

It emerged she was a secret addict who even stashed drugs in her attic before her death.

In a bid to get over the pain, Bob put together a new version of Band Aid to help Ebola sufferers.
