Irish stars named in world’s 100 richest celebrities list

They're making MILLIONS

Forbes have published their prestigious Celebrity 100 list, which ranks the world’s highest-paid celebrities from June 2017 until June 2018.

U2 nabbed sixth place on the list, with earnings of around €101 million.

Their success last year is largely thanks to their Joshua Tree anniversary tour, which grossed $316 million, and the release of their 14th studio album, Songs of Experience.

Irish UFC fighter Conor McGregor landed at number 12 on the list, with earnings of over €84 million, thanks to his highly-publicised boxing fight with Floyd Mayweather, which generated more than $550 million in revenue.

In fact, Floyd Mayweather was the star who topped the Celebrity100 list with earnings of over €230 million.

Meanwhile, Ed Sheeran has been named the highest-earning solo musician in the world.

According to the Forbes, the British singer raked in around €94 million over the past year, placing him at number nine on the Celebrity100 list.

George Clooney landed at second place on the list, which is largely thanks to the sale of the tequila company he co-founded, Casamigos.

According to reports, the actor took home $239 million from the sale, which is the most he has ever earned in a year.

No surprise, the third spot went to Kylie Jenner, who is on track to become the youngest-ever self-made billionaire by the time she turns 21 – thanks to her lucrative makeup brand Kylie Cosmetics.

Surprising, Judy Sheindlin, best known as Judge Judy, landed in in fourth place, while Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson nabbed the fifth spot.
