Irish rugby star Sean O’Brien has been sanctioned by the IRFU, for allegedly urinating on a pub-goer last month.

According to reports, it’s believed the 32-year-old urinated on a member of the public in a Dublin pub during Leinster’s PRO14 title winning celebrations on May 26th 2019.

In a statement obtained by Independent.ie, a union spokesman said: “The IRFU have investigated an incident of inappropriate behaviour by a player which occurred on 26th May 2019.”

“The player has expressed his deep regret and has been sanctioned in line with the provisions of his contract.”

“The player has apologised to the individual involved. The IRFU, and the player, regret any upset that this incident has caused,” they added.

The news comes after Sean was ruled out of Ireland’s 2019 World Cup last month, due to a hip injury.
