Irish-Bangladeshi artist Joy Crookes has been named on YouTube Music’s Official UK & Ireland 2020 Ones to Watch list.
The neo-soul singer has a total of three EPs under her belt, and is noted on the list of ten musical trailblazers.
“Thank you so much for choosing me as a One To Watch, YouTube,” she said.
“All I have to do now is keep making sick videos!!”
The list is decided based on a variety of factors, including YouTube views, subscribers, engagement from global music fans, and YouTube Music analytics, along with their creative contribution to the music scene.
Touching on her Irish heritage, Joy previously told District magazine:
“At the end of the day it is your decision about who you are and who you want to be so I definitely have a huge affiliation with Ireland both in and out of my control.”
The star has racked up millions of views across her YouTube channel, and boasts over one hundred thousand followers on Insatgram.
