A well-known Irish entertainer is being accused of sexual assault.
Two victims have come forward to claim an Irish entertainer, who has yet to be named, groped them in public, with the man’s behaviour described as “one of the worst-kept secrets in the showbiz industry”.
Amid scandals with Harvey Weinstein and Kevin Spacey, more people are coming forward about inappropriate behaviour in Irlena.d According to The Herald, one victim alleged that the man put his hands down his pants and grabbed him.
“We were working together at something and the next minute, he put his hand down the front of my pants and grabbed me. I had a girlfriend at the time and he said something like, ‘Are you still not single?’ I was so uncomfortable, I didn’t know what to say,” he told the publication.
“The second time was about a year later. I ran into him in the bathroom at a venue and he came up and put his hands down the back of my pants.
“It was a busy venue with lots of people around and it didn’t faze him in the least.
“I backed away and tried to laugh it off and immediately went into the cubicle and he followed me to the door and went, ‘What are you locking it for?’
“I met him the next day and he just tried to make a joke out of it. He went, ‘Oh Jesus I was so drunk, I don’t remember it’. Like it was this funny little incident.
“But the fact that it was the second time he had done something to me just made me so uneasy,” he explained.
The well-known star has allegedly acted this way with others for years, but no one is yet to name and shame him.
“Ireland’s a small place and he’s a powerful person. There’s a sense of people not wanting to lose out on work or suffer because of going up against him,” the source continued.
“He’s notorious for asking people to send him inappropriate pictures and when they don’t play ball with him, he threatens their careers.”
A second man also spoke about being groped back in 2014. The celebrity grabbed this man by the crotch in the middle of a crowded venue, in front of his girlfriend.
“I pulled his hand away immediately and he just kind of went on his way like nothing happened,” he said.
