Irish designers perfectly recreate Meghan Markle’s wedding dress in less than 24 hours

This is incredible!

Everyone was glued to the Royal Wedding over the weekend, especially to see Meghan Markle’s dress.

The bride wowed in a dress designed by Clare Waight Keller for Givenchy, complete with a 16-foot veil.

Like previous royal weddings, many brides to be will be looking to recreate Meghan’s look, and one fashion designer took on the task of recreating Meghan’s dress in less than 24 hours.

Shauna Fay, from Newry, teamed up with bridal shop Elody Bride to create a copy of Meghan’s stunning Givenchy gown.

The minimalist pure white gown features a boat neck with ¾ length sleeves, and Sharon from Elody Bride took on the mammoth task of creating the veil.

In order to do this, she cut out each individual lace piece and sewed it to the veil to create a stunning piece the same length as the newest member of the Royal family.

As for the tiara, Donna Mackin Millinery recreated a piece similar to Meghan’s – which once belonged to Queen Mary.

The centre piece on the bride’s copycat tiara was a 5 Carat E colour diamond worth £50,000 from Jack Murphy Jewellers.

Shauna Fay also recreated Meghan’s second wedding dress, which was custom-made Stella McCartney.

To show off the full look, model Cleo Parkinson posed for a photoshoot, which was shot by Rashida Keenan.
