Ireland’s Got Mór Talent hosts Glenda Gilson and James Kavanagh have finally broken their silence on the show being axed.

Glenda famously filmed scenes for Ireland’s Got Mór Talent just three weeks after she gave birth to her first child last year, as she was afraid someone else would land her job.

But just last month, Virgin Media bosses confirmed that Ireland’s Got Talent wouldn’t be back for a third season in 2020.

Speaking about returning to work on IGT so quickly last year, Glenda said: “If I hadn’t done it, someone else would have got it [the presenting role].”

The mum-of-one then joked: “But now it is sadly not returning, so I could have stayed on my maternity leave…”

Meanwhile, Glenda’s co-host James Kavanagh has admitted that he’s “devastated” the show isn’t coming back.

He told RSVP Live: “It is so sad. I hope that it will come back again in the future, maybe? I am devastated because it was so much fun working with Glenda and the team.”

Speaking about his friendship with Glenda, the social media star said: “I am always swinging off her on nights out.”

“I haven’t seen her ages now though. She was supposed to come to my birthday, but she burned me and didn’t come.

“I think she extended her holiday. I messaged her twice making sure she could come and text me that day saying that she was still away. She has promised me a night out when she is back,” he added.
