Yesterday, 30,000 women hit the streets to partake in the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon.
The 10k event is in it’s 37th year, and many who took part did so in aid of their favourite charity.
Amidst the thousands of women walking, running, and jogging, were some of Ireland’s top influencers.
Doireann Garrihy
Doireann and her family committed to walking the marathon back in March of this year.
The influencer and TV presenter told RTE at the time: “It’s a great buzz, June bank holiday weekend, generally the weather is good and people are there to do it for the right reasons.”
Doireann completed the marathon alongside her mother Clare.
Aoibhin GarrihyÂ
Actress Aoibhin joined her sister on the 10k trek.
Taking to her Instagram, she wrote: “Just livin our best lives…what a day, what a buzz, what a gender women are!”
The former Fair City star also shared a throwback snap to her at the marathon last year, showcasing a now non-existent pregnancy bump. The actress has since given birth to her daughter Hanorah.
Ailbhe Garrihy
Ailbhe also hit the streets of Dublin to participate in the marathon with her family.
“Another @vhiwmm under the belt and a bank holiday Sunday well spent,” she posted.
“Congrats to all 30,000 women who participated today.”
Georgie Crawford
Georgie was one of the VHI Women’s Mini Marathon ambassadors this year.
Delighted with her time, Georgie wrote: “I did it in 1.07! I never ran in my life but it’s been my therapy over the last year.”
“It’s still a struggle at times but I take it one run at a time! It just shows it’s never too late to start something. Something just for you!”
Luci Vidal
Yogi and wellness influencer Luci Vidal ran the marathon in aid of the Irish Cancer Society.
The event was Luci’s first mini marathon, and she even managed to make it to Bulmer’s Forbidden Fruit Festival after the run, doing a quick outfit change to ditch her running shorts in favour of a stunning rose gold knit dress.
Holly White
Plant-based health influencer Holly White completed the mini marathon in aid of the ISPCA.
The nutritionist rounded out the day with a much slice of vegan cake to celebrate the event.
