Conor McGregor knocked out Eddie Alvarez in UFC 205 to make history – and people went crazy for him.
The MMA star took on the American in New York for the lightweight title, which he won making him the first dual-champion in the UFC.
With just four quick punches in the second round, the Crumlin native brought Eddie to the ground and gave two more blows before the referee said he had won.
In the stadium, the crowd erupted in Irish chants and cheers – and many raced to Twitter to share their pride for the champion.
