Greg O’Shea reveals working with Doireann Garrihy made him more nervous than Love Island

Greg O’Shea has opened up about his nerves before his first radio show.

The Love Island winner revealed that he was more nervous about joining the 2FM Breakfast Show as Eoghan McDermott’s stand-in than he was on the reality show.

“I was so nervous when I started my first show” he told the Irish Mirror.

“Truthfully, I was more nervous going on the radio with Doireann than I was going in to Love Island.”

“Maybe it is because RTE backed me and I was essentially providing a service to the Irish people rather than just myself going into the villa.”

Greg received mixed reviews as he made his radio presenting debut in September.

Greg himself took to social media to share his thoughts ahead of his first morning working on RTE’s 2FM Breakfast Show.

Posting a video from his car on the way to the RTE studios, the rugby player explained that he was feeling a little apprehensive ahead of his first day.

“First morning going on RTE radio with Ms Doireann,” he told his 1.5 million followers.

“I got up anyways so that’s a good start, little bit nervous but looking forward to it.”
