Greg O’Shea opens up about dealing with trolls since leaving Love Island

Greg O’Shea has revealed how he is dealing with his new found fame since leaving Love Island.

In a new video with Irish fitness influencer Rob Lipsett, the reality TV show winner explained that he deals with trolling by remaining focused on his life goals.

“How did you deal with the immediate fame?” Rob posed to the rugby pro.

“Going in with 2,000 followers and 40 posts and you come out to millions of people judging your every move, how do you deal with the online hate?”

Greg replied: “I went from being just a normal lad walking down the street, doing my rugby and doing my studies, I had something like 2,000 followers, and I came out and I had 1.5 million people following me. It’s just crazy.”

“There is no way I can sit here and just be like ‘oh it’s grand’ – it takes it’s toll on you.”

“But I’m not going to sit here and complain about people following me and having all these opportunities. It’s amazing, it’s just now about getting a structure on my life.”

“I have big goals to get to the Olympics this year with my Sevens team, so it’s just staying focused.”

He also revealed that he is planning on working more on ambassadorships and brand endorsements over the next few months, and is continuing to focus on becoming a solicitor.
