The London Metropolitan Police have forwarded a sexual misconduct allegation against Harvey Weinsten to An Garda Síochána for investigation, it has been revealed.

The Irish Times has reported that the complaint was first made in the UK by an Irish woman named Laura Madden, who used to work for Miramax, Harvey’s production company.

The Metropolitan Police have also added that they were investigating complaints against the disgraced film producer by another two women. The complaints were made in the UK back in October and November.

It’s been reported that the incidents occurred in the Republic in 1991, Westminster in 2011, and in another unknown jurisdiction in 2010.

When Gardaí were contacted for comment, they said they could not comment on any named individuals, “nor do we comment on, confirm or deny any communications with police forces in other jurisdictions”.
